Unfortunately, this sort of situation can happen anywhere. If the fraud is elaborate enough, your property can be sold without you even knowing about it. Some guy can walk into the assessor's office with all the right documents and an ID that has your name on it and everyone thinks it's legit.

Property rights were never specifically stated in our Constitution. That’s something that needs to be remedied.
