I was watching a video the other day that was discussing homelessness in American cities. I forget who made the video, but it was some leftist that got a honest dose of reality. What struck me about what he said was that these homeless camps are not homeless camps. They are 24 hour drug markets. They don’t start out as homeless camp. The begin with people selling drugs on the street. Users show up and some shoot up or do what they do with the drugs they buy right on the spot. After a while, enough of them just stay and you have a drug camp, not a homeless camp. The emphasis shouldn’t be on homeless, but on drugs.
The drugs are why they are homeless.
