We’ve had a real problem here in the Upper Valley as well.

We used insect granules and there is something called an insect growth regulator, which is like a puberty blocker for insects.

The recommendation is to spray a liquid insecticide in a pump sprayer and add this to it. The insecticide takes care of the adults and the IGR takes care of the larva and nymphs.

You can find it other places, but not as cheap.

We’re going to be doing that for the lawn around the house.

You mix three liquid insecticides together with 4 gallons of water in a backpack sprayer.

The other one Altosid you sprinkle into bird baths, the dogs pool, any type of standing water. It kills the larve in the water.
