When Odumbo was in high school in Hawaii he fancied himself a world class body surfer, ala The Duke Kahanamoku. there’s no way the punk started a fight but, since the SS doesn’t seem to be around on the Vinyard, it could be that somebody else kicked his butt. He’s carrying a golf club in the pic so maybe he’ll claim a bad backswing for the eye shiner. Do golfers tape up their fingers to tune up their grip on the stick?

I’ve never seen a golfer tape their fingers, either in the pros or among the weekend duffers that I hung around with.

Or is that “swung around with” - thought I’d tee off with some links humor.

Tiger Woods taped his fingers all the time, but not the upper knuckle. He just taped the lower ring area on the right middle and ring fingers (ungloved hand) because the blisters form there from hitting hundreds + balls a day. If you’re getting a blister above the middle knuckle, you’re probably gripping the club too tight. I was always taught to hold the club like you would hold a bird that you didn’t want to either hurt or have fly away.
