Not always, though . . . do you recall a TV series called Monsters Inside Me? Each week featured vignettes about things like parasites, spider bites, scorpion stings, etc. One segment told of two teenage boys walking the woods found a dead armadillo.

I remember that story! I think the guys lived in Texas.
I've never forgotten the bluish scars on his face from where they had to cut the flesh away . . . But at least the doctors discovered the leprosy in time to prevent his nose, ears, etc. falling off. If that were my choice, I'd take the blue scars any day of the week!
