The Democrats would love to take away your car, make air travel unaffordable for you, and leave you dependent on rail for transportation.
We can't "bring back rail in America" because it's economic nonsense.
That's what everyone's, unstudied, knee-jerk response is. What was true in 1970 isn't necessarily true today - especially with the condition of air-travel now.
I'm also NOT talking about government-run rail either.
No one really knows the answer to that question.
