“this might be some kind of mass hallucination”
Interesting comment—in my view the “mass hallucination” is the “facts” we are “taught” in school and then by the mass media—a way of looking at the world around us that suppresses our natural ability to look at the world with wonder and an open mind—rather than blindly accepting the narrative of “experts” and other authority figures.
I was thinking more along the lines of the "Life is a Simulation" theory. Or the "We're Living Inside a Dream" theory.
