I'm not buying that yet.
I'm not that trusting of something or someone who is significantly smarter and/or more evolved than me.
I don't want to wake up one day and find my name on the menu.;-)

Yes he did... Here is how he explained it. The dominant species of alien is benign and they have been protecting us from the more evil species. But we have now reverse engineered their craft. So we ourselves are the evil encounters witnessed and the blame is being put on the benign species.
And here is where the problem lies. For thousands of years the protectors have only had to deal with other species similar to their own. Now we are sticking our noses into their business as a 3rd party. And we have absolutely no clue what kind of fire we are playing with.
