I’m so sorry, stylin. Golf will break your heart if you take it too seriously. I keep reminding myself that we don’t get better in sports as we get old. After age 45, it’s pretty much a downhill slide and we have to adjust our expectations. You and I will remain grateful that we still have the health, freedom and the financial means to play the game at all. Then, after the game, we get back to working hard to ensure the world remains that way so others can pursue their passions. The little hissy fit in my mind helped me quickly get over my failure to make that putt yesterday. I think that’s what hissy fits do best, so throw one in your mind! HT to DollyCali.

thanx. that's ok...gotta love it ! ( I stole that from chip beck - no matter what kind of shot he hit, or where he ended up, his response was "Gotta luv it")
actually, I did get better as I got older.
I finally have a short game - this year - worked hard over the winter...I need to trust it more.

I had 6 surgeries on my left hand and elbow in a short period of time. I was @ a 10 index going down at the time. Afterward
Settled @ 12 for years, then COVID hit me hard - working my way down from 17+. tuff going but gotta luv it.

Moved to the senior tees - in my 9 hole league only.
I was giving up too much yardage and too many strokes( they didn't adjust the index based on course handicap) so I joined them. The rest of the league howled...gotta luv it.

My goal this year was to get down to a single-digit index...I better hurry.

Right now, watching the Open Championship - my fantasy team choked like a pukin dog. gotta luv it.

Hit 'em hard, they'll come down somewhere.
