I still have my English public school jacket and cap from when I was 5. My mom saved it for me. I get it out for show and tell too. All my kids got to try it on when they were young and asked, “Did you really have to wear that to school?”

The coat story: Yes, it has been written up and stashed in the coat.Even more tho it got written up , with a couple of pics, in a historical paper put out by our local museum. No one alive knew there had been a POW camp in town.
