I knew a similar F-150 owner years ago. He would actually wax the bed to keep it shiny and would never put anything into it as he didn't want any scratches. He would rent a U-haul before using his own truck to haul something.
I have no idea why he wanted a truck in the first place. Probably to project a macho image.

Sounds like my neighbor.
For some reason, he makes me think of Jeb Bush.
