I recently went to see the movie Sound of Freedom. It was the first time I had gone to a movie theater since before Covid and it was well worth the wait for such a superb and important film. I was curious about a number of things including whether, in the midst of a heatwave (and rumors that AMC Theaters were sabotaging the air-conditioning in theaters showing the film), the theater would be air-conditioned and why the left has been so distraught over a movie about child sex trafficking – a seemingly nonpartisan issue about which all people of good conscience should be concerned.
I am happy to report that the theater, in West Nyack, NY, was air-conditioned and comfortable. I’m also happy to report that other than the first two rows, every seat was occupied. In fact, when I went to purchase the ticket, the 6:30pm and 7:30pm showings were completely sold out other than the first two rows, so I attended a 9:15pm showing.
And leftists won't be pleased to hear that the composition of the audience was “representative” of the country’s demographics

As to why the left has done everything in its power to sabotage the movie, including Disney Studios reportedly shelving it for five years, there is absolutely nothing whatsoever political in Sound of Freedom, a mostly (the film-makers did take some artistic license) true story of child sex-trafficking. I watched the film looking for scenes, statements, or anything else that could have been deemed offensive to someone on the left and couldn’t find one. In fact, there was nothing at all patriotic about the film including not one American flag -- which we know offends the left -- nor was there any criticism of Democrats’ or the Biden administration’s immigration failures.

The movie’s distribution has been stunted by certain bad actors. Hopefully, it eventually will get international play.
The forces behind child trafficking are pretty powerful in many countries, and they will fight tooth and claw to keep their racket growing. Individually, they tend to gravitate both to jobs that involve interaction with children, and to positions of authority, like being judges and police commissioners.
Belgium is a great example. A child kidnapper and rapist kept two girls chained in his basement. When he was arrested he didn’t tell the police about them, and they starved to death. The police quickly arrested him again and put him in a maximum security prison to await trial.
Shortly thereafter, he walked out of prison and almost made it to the border before being arrested again. The resulting scandal and 1m protest, created chaos, as both political parties had senior members implicated.
The end result was that little was done, because nobody dared to do anything. The cancer had metastasized.
The left is just evil now. They’ve taken “love is love” to the depths of the lowest depravity, including the abuse of children - that they claim can be consent.
How can a decent human being be against a message of freedom for those being trafficked?
Were there sub titles? Just curious.
It’s not all about sex slavery either - there is a huge organ harvesting industry.
Wealthy people get told they don’t have to wait on a list for a new heart or whatever - there is another option if they can afford it. All they need to do is pay the $$ and ask no questions.
In China this is happening on a huge scale - but it’s happening here too.
Left hates everything but abortion, trannies and OPM.

Heard Netflix won’t show the movie once it gets off big screen. Also heard Elon promised to permit it to be shown on Twitter mid or late July.

Alt rocker Gary Numan (”Cars”) posted his high praise for this film on social media. Numan (hardly a political conservative and on the autism spectrum) shared how touched he was by the film. I would estimate about 20% of his followers criticized him - all citing that it was “q-anon Steve Bannon propaganda”. A few others just pushed back, saying they couldn’t believe such horrors would be true. The latter I can understand.
The beauty of streaming is that you have many streaming services, so one can’t blockade a film.
I could see Musk expanding Twitter’s long-video capability to host documentaries and entertainment, maybe limiting access to accounts who are paying the $8/month fee, thus turning Twitter into a streaming service friendly to conservative content.
The Left may have been offended by the showing of young boys being trafficked too. They want to bury the fact that homosexuals prey on young boys.
