The GOP could threaten severe budget cuts to discourage future abuses, stonewalling and deliberate obfuscation but they won’t. They can’t even manage to defund NPR/PBS.
The GOP should have told Wray that every non-answer would result in reduced budgets in the organizational area(s) related to the question. The American people fund this agency and deserve accountability.
