Sorry. I misread your post as the Jeffersons.
Scrolling through that site brought back a lot of good memories from a time when broadcast TV had a vested interest to truly entertain.
Mission Impossible
Batman
Twilight Zone
The Pink Panther
Perry Mason
Hawaii 5-0
I didliked andy griffith as a person and the show in general.
To each his own though.
These youngsters missed the Great Ones! I grew up on Have Gun, Will Travel; Wanted, Dead or Alive; Peter Gunn; Gunsmoke; and Bonanza!
1) Hawaii 5-0
2) Babylon 5, 2nd season
3) Rawhide
4) Mission Impossible (orig. theme)
5) Gunsmoke (orig. theme)
6) Get Smart
7) Twilight Zone (orig. theme)
8) Monday Night Football (orig. theme)
9) Gilligan’s Island
10) Star Trek DS-9
With many honorable mentions that on one day or another might make my #6 - #10:
Bonanza
Green Acres
The Wild, Wild West
Beverly Hillbillies
Gilligan’s Island
Route 66
Petticoat Junction
The Flintstones
NBC Mystery Movie
All In The Family
Magnum PI
Spiderman (cartoon)
Batman
Miami Vice
Secret Agent Man
many more...
Really, just too many!! A Golden Age... :-)
The youngsters don’t care…..they consider those old shows for old people .
…..
There was the SWAT in the 70s, then the new one with the black Hondo. I call that the new SWAT.
They got most of the ones I would have suggested. 2 they missed: George of the Jungle and Monty Python’s Flying Circus.
Good work on adding to the totally incomplete list.
Funny thing is when I was a kid I used to collect TV theme songs. There are maybe 8 or 10 LPs of compilations then, and my M Squad, Mike Hammer and One Step Beyond ones. Plus some singles.
Maybe the Untouchables could be my favorite, hard to choose.
Perry Mason, too.
Both with an undercurrent of menace to the music.
Some of my favorites that didn’t make the list:
77 Sunset Strip
Spider-Man (animated series 1967-1970)
Mission Impossible (1966-1973)
Ironside
The Bill Cosby Show (1969-1971)
What? No one voted for Mission: Impossible??
Thank you! A childhood favorite!
Your reference to Lassie made me remember also
The Littlest Hobo (1963 TV series, episode 1)
Original theme
The word Gun in the title is a blessing for us.
That’s a good question. I just looked up NBC’s current lineup of comedy shows and randomly picked one (Brooklyn 9-9) to see if it has a theme song, and it does.

So based on this sample of one, they do, for what it’s worth.
Johnny Quest wasn’t mentioned.
LOL! Yup, that’s the one. Tasty Lt. Ellis.
Even the commie networks use to sign off with the National Anthem. I guessing that is no more.
Mr. Ed.
