Nobody buys CDs anymore.

I go as often as possible. Bargain, mostly used, CDs are now $.95 or less. Find some really neat stuff in the store every single time. They'll all be converted to MP3 files which can be plugged into any car dash with a USB port or used on various players. Met someone instantly putting them on Amazon trying to make a few extra bucks to pay for his wife's cancer surgery. CDs aren't gone - yet.

I'm a computer dunce but I did, some years ago, manage to learn about CD burners.I'm also lucky enough to live in a town that's part of a public library network that has every book, magazine, video disc and CD ever produced...and their website is searchable by keyword and title.

As a result I was, over time, able to compile a CD collection (CD-R collection to be precise) of about 5,000 songs...almost all of which I like.

In fact with "CD rot" it might be time to re-do them so I don't lose anything.
