Some great picks on this list. I’d add 1984 the movie.

...however, the version of 1984, that came out in 1984, is a MUST SEE!

Totally agree. It nails the atmosphere of the book.

Nice hair.

I know, but it's all gone now.

The old ladies in my small town would pinch my cheek, and say "He's so cute" and that enraged my 5 year older brother, and he would beat the crap out of me.

No one has mentioned Rollerball. Great 70’s dystopia.

How could a greatest dystopian list not include Metropolis?

“Silent Running”

Yes belongs on the list.
The Heston movies as some have pointed out belong on the list.

I know there are some there with Heston but will track down Omega Man tonight, also the Will Smith remake.

“The Road” was one of those movies where I keep WAITING for it to get going, then the credits roll and it’s over.

As a kid, I really enjoyed “The World, the Flesh and the Devil” starring Harry Belafonte.

I’d like to see it again.

It certainly does!

I saw that movie in 1984 ( yes, I had read the book...TWICE, actually, and I remembered it very well at the time ) and was rather shell shocked by the end of the movie.

The Invasion of the Body Snatchers

I liked the first version better, but the book by Jack Finney was better than the movie.

Never Let Me Go is an underseen gem. My current pitch to people is that it’s the best prolife movie you’ve never seen. Granted, abortion is never mentioned in the film, but the moral question is the same.

“The upcoming live action Disney remake of Snow White.”

I hear that OJ Simpson is playing a new dwarf in it named Slicey.
