I remember when my dad was working on a house addition mixing cement. Warned us about cement burns. Was enough to keep us away.
You beat me to it. I know a lady whose late husband died of concrete burns. He was in agony for weeks. It left her with horrible ptsd. Terrible story
When I was old enough to know better, I used my bare hand to mix a few gallons of concrete in a bucket. My hand and forearm were bright red and stung pretty bad for a couple of days.
