I’m sorry your opinion should not out weigh facts. Putin and Zelensky were ready for a peace deal way back in April of ‘22. Boris Johnson talked Zelensky out of it so that is factually incorrect.
WHY NATO?
We must stop talking about Ukraine having “Peace in our time” through another ‘simple’ appeasement treaty with Russia. Any ‘deal’ with Putin is like Chamberlain signing Neville Chamberlain the Munich Pact on September 29, 1938, agreeing to Hitler’s demands. I personally agree with Winston Churchill: “An appeaser is one who feeds a crocodile hoping it will eat him last.”
Advocating for Ukrainian concessions in 2023 in return for a peace don’t realize Russia previously had signed two treaties in which they promised not to attack Ukraine, Budapest Memorandum and Russian-Ukrainian Friendship Treaty.
Both were violated the second Moscow saw it as advantageous.
Any peace treaty that’s not grounded in a strategic reality in which it doesn’t make any sense for Russia to invade again is worthless, and will only lead to more war five or ten years later.
