“• Yevgeny Prigozhin, leader of the Wagner PMC, personally arrived in St Petersburg on 4 July, where the weapons seized during the searches were returned to him.

• Previously it was reported that Prigozhin was given back RUB10 billion [approx. US$111,313 million – ed.] which security officials found during searches in St Petersburg after his attempted rebellion”
_ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _

This is the first specific information I have seen about Prigozhin since vague reports he was not in Belarus and might be traveling back and forth between Moscow and St. Petersburg. THe most recent info above seems to be for July 4. Putin says he met with Prigo and 35 of his mercenaries. When did that meeting take place? Was it before or after Prigo’s weapons and money from home was returned after the official search and seizure?

The sentence about money returned to Prigo is hard to quantify. It appears to say 10 billion Rubles. Then a US figure of US$ 111,313 million is given. Does that mean $111,313,000, or $111,313,000,000? If the first amount then it should have read $111.313 million, otherwise it reads like the second amount which seems too large. At any rate, that is certainly a lot of forgiveness on Putin’s part. What does it all mean? Also is there any other news or fairly reliable rumors about what all is happening with Prigo and Putin, and the Belarus Wagner encampment?

Good news:

“South Korea will offer assistance worth $52 billion to Ukraine’s reconstruction projects, the Korea Herald reported on July 14, citing South Korea’s presidential office.”
