My terrific neighbor is 89, gets up at 4:30 every morning, walks five fast miles, and occasionally walks another five in the afternoon if she needs something on the other side of town, Plus, she’s wonderfully smart and terrifically crotchety, calls a spade a spade. Blind in one eye and losing sight rapidly in the other, so must go to some kind of assisted living place. Hope she can still sprint around the new neighborhood or at least on a treadmill..
Why? She's a textbook case of simply needing a guide dog and the associated training. She won't have to leave.
