Usher’s ex-wife, Tameka Foster, is taking the first step to prevent further accidents and deaths by starting a petition to drain the Georgia lake where her son died.
On Thursday, Foster took to Instagram and announced her effort to drain Lake Lanier in honor of her son, Kile Glover, who tragically lost his life in a jet ski accident on July 21, 2012, HipHopDX reported.
“On this significant day, July 6, we remember the tragic accident on Lake Lanier that forever altered my life. My courageous son, Kile Glover, fought for two weeks with unwavering strength until his passing on July 21,” the 52-year-old wrote at the beginning of the post’s caption…

Next the families of the people who got killed in the titanic tourist sub will demand that the Atlantic Ocean be drained.
Grief is one thing and this isn’t that. It’s pure insanity.
“just” is not the same word as it used to be. Now it is used to get people to click links about things that happened days or weeks sooner. I think 10 years is the longest “just” that I have ever seen since the rules have changed.
I’m amused at your humor about the Usher guy. Probably a lot of young people (who don’t watch Seinfeld reruns) wouldn’t get it. Do they still have ushers at theaters? I don’t go, so don’t know.
Seems it would make a heckuva lot more sense to go after jet skis. You can’t drain every body of water where somebody drowns.
Not very. Never heard of him.
Slow news day?
Time slot for stupid news by stupid people?
If I were a property owner on that lake, I’d expect reparations for the loss of value.
He works at the local movie theater. You probably didn’t know his name but he directs people to their seats.

Don’t forget they do a lot of good work in churches too.
Exactly! Sorry for her lose but really?
this is about as dumb as it gets
And what about all the other lakes, rivers and oceans?
It’s a stupid headline. She wants the lake to be drained in order to clean up the debris that’s apparently causing accidents. The water would be returned after that.
Drain Lake Lanier? Sorry, but lots of people have drowned in Lake Lanier and sorry this woman’s son died— but this is nuts. A huge lake which is also municipal water reservoir for several towns and cities.
People should 1.)learn to swim 2.) if toddlers- have on full body head out of water life vests, 3.) parents should know how to swim in any kind of water, clear or murky/cypress brown etc. And if they don’t don’t bring their children in with them into water that is over hip deep. 4.) Parents and all adults should learn and know recovery of a drowning person properly and the resuscitation per Red Cross.
Not drain a lake populated by thousands of residents on shore.
Why stop there? We should just ban water altogether.
Why not?
Why not? When they use the loss of their child to push for stupid things, they deserve to be "beaten up".
Her son died 11 years ago.
I’m sorry for her loss, but her request is stupid. The lake did not kill her son; an accident did. Accidents happen everyday. If she actually cared about doing something productive, do PSAs on social media about public safety.
My cousin died in 1978 from a skateboarding accident. Did our family scream to have them banned? Of course not.
If her son’s fatal jet ski accident had occurred in the Atlantic Ocean, would she want to drain that too? Though Tameka takes idiocy to new depths, how typical that she wants to eliminate something physical rather than teach morons to use their toys safely.
Something I pray to never experience. Blessings to you for this work.
