I believe from time to time Microsoft still offers non-annual versions of Word & Excel combos.
I’d probably buy a combo and new Windows machine if Microsoft could prove to me it was able to sell me a PC that worked at least as fast as lazy old me.

I am using W/11 64 bit pro, having migrated for free from W/8 to 8.1 to 10, at a cost of $29.00 upgrade from XP years ago, that was on the Retail channel (legally enabling migration).

Windows users are either forced to use it by their employers, or too stupid and/or lazy to grasp the tiny bit of knowledge needed to run it.
