“He should have been out of the house ten years ago…”. To where, exactly? 15 years ago I gave a series of annual. Talks to the PreMeds at my state’s major university ASSOCIATED with its Med School. At that time 90% of the people on campus were female. Almost no white males.
So just exactly what were your expectations of Jr.s prospects ten years ago? Is it a mystery why Jr would rather play video in the basement and eat trendies? I commented to another old geezer at the pharmacy a couple days ago, “Look at that kid, stocking shelves and he’s obviously going on thirty. How in the world is he gonna afford a family stocking shelves at Walgreens?”
No, our problems go MUCH deeper than “get a job.”
Its mental.
Else, an individual in their mid 20’s..capable of work ..who doesn’t pay rent and isn’t even required to pay for their own food..IF they were moderately MOTIVATED..and if they worked a $15 an hour job.. could easily save $15k in a years time.
The last 10 years they could have banked $100,000-150,000.
But only IF they we’re moderately MOTIVATED.
