I agree with what you are saying. Your skepticism is valid on many fronts.
That being said, it is profound beyond words and the Bible is accurate.
However, a spirit out of the body can take on the shape of anyone when they meet you. There are many evil spirits acting as imposters. 1John 4:1 tells how to test spirits. It works.
There is a tunnel or portal through the layer of darkness between here and Heaven. The Light is the Light of Heaven. All this is real.
The life review process is merely your conscious awareness expanding beyond your physical body through the stored memories in your soul of all your life experiences. It’s the same process that started the phrase “My life flashed before my eyes.”
Anything that is experienced through an NDE can also be experienced in prayerful meditation.

The numbers are increasing for two reasons.
1. The advances in medicine.
2. The increase of the Holy Spirit on earth as we are entering the tribulation times.
A friend of mine who is a cardiologist interviewed hundreds of patients that died and were resuscitated. Approximately 18% recalled an out of body experience. His study was well done, peer reviewed, and published in the Medical Journal Lancet.
Another ER physician friend asked me why so many drug overdose deaths pop back in after they are dead, but accident victims who are barely injured and should survive, do not. It has yo do with the perception of pain that caused them to exit their body.
I’ve crossed over many times, both on my own death and with hospice patients at their death. It is a wonderful experience.
