There is no way we could match our output from WWII. 1200 warships and 99 carriers. 86,000 tanks, 300,000 airplanes... including a new B-24 every 55 minutes. All in about 4 years.
And it isn’t just war factories. We don’t make steel, lumber, and our betters are stopping food production every way they can.
Worst of all, the workforce is lazy and simply would not participate.
It’s amazing that a population of less than half of today did that and with twice the population I doubt we could do 10% of that today.
Between the early 2000's when China joined the World Trade Organization, and about 2016, the USA sent 50,000 factories to China. What do you expect the consequences would be?
