Usual conservative comments regarding student loans first, but after that, the cost of college has increased dramatically, and it amazes me that Republicans and conservatives don’t talk more about this issue. The universities are run and controlled by leftists yet are all about taking $$$ from their poorer students. Too few people point this out and instead allow the left to steer peoples’ anger toward capitalists. Use it to explain why the left’s approach to education is a bad idea. Point out their hypocrisy and elitism. Say something. Don’t just let them control the narrative. But I guess that’s asking too much of the GOP.

Indeed. Inflation exists and must be accounted for.

A few years ago, I looked up the then current tuition at the institution where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree. Using an on-line "inflation calculator", I found that in constant dollars, they were charging about 75% more than they had when I was a student there. I'm not convinced the students were getting 75% more education than I did.

Yes it is asking too much unfortunately. Everything you said is spot on, but there’s so many Harvard and Yale graduates in congress and none of them wants to criticize the scandalous financial shenanigans of their alma mater. Wish we had more plumbers in congress.
