Boris Johnson: "Biden has taken a difficult but brave decision to supply cluster munitions to Ukraine. He is right"

@BorisJohnson

Joe Biden has taken a difficult but brave decision to supply cluster munitions to Ukraine. He is right. These are terrible weapons. But they have been used by Putin for over a year in his programme of indiscriminate slaughter of an entirely innocent people. The faster we help the Ukrainians to win, the more lives we will save all round. And never forget - it is the Ukrainians who will use these weapons on their own soil, and to protect themselves.

This same wanker than killed peace talks in Turkey last year, an act that has killed hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians.

Johnson and the Brits want to escalate while demanding we put troops on the ground and suffer the causalities. The British military wouldn't last a month in Ukraine.

First, Boris has to prove that Biden actually can and does make decisions.

“Cluster bomb use is not a war crime, but Russia has been committing war crimes in Ukraine using its masses of cluster bombs by deliberately using them against civilians.”

The Japanese would behead prisoners and torture them... you didn’t see us doing that just because the Japanese did.

Atrocious acts of War are not repeated, just because... that is debased thinking, so is gloating.

"...Mustard Gas and saw bayonets?..."

Hell yes, but only if it's on your own soil, and you're careful.

And yet there are fine handed pricks on this site trying to make the excuse it is alright to use them..as long as it isnt used against civilians.

Yet, they can NOT explain why we used them in Laos, as well as hundreds of thousands of conventional munitions which are KILLING, and have KILLED, and maimed thousands of Hmongs in that country.

I watched it happen.

That was goofy.

Cluster bombs are not a war crime, but using them against civilians is officially a war crime, the CBs we are sending Ukraine will be used legally against the entrenched Russian Army.

Do you understand that? Cluster bombs are not a war crime, but they can be used in a war crime.

“Russia launched a Tochka-U ballistic missile equipped with a cluster munition warhead at a crowded train station in the eastern city of Kramatorsk as hundreds of people were trying to leave the area. A detailed Human Rights Watch investigation found that the attack killed at least 58 civilians and injured over 100 others.”

“””LBJs involvement in Vietnam was a war crime, No Declaration of war. GWBs war in the Gulf was a war crime, no declaration of war. Biden’s involvement in Ukraine is now a war crime.”””

What international law makes those war crimes?

In Ukraine, you say that supplying weapons to a nation being invaded is a war crime, where are you getting that from?

“And never forget - it is the Ukrainians who will use these weapons on their own soil, and to protect themselves.”

Cluster bombs are not a defensive weapon. They are designed to take out multiple football field areas in one effort. The munitions are not selective like a sniper rifle. They are designed to kill in mass quantities by ripping up the buildings along with the people in them without care as to who is there.

Volodymyr Zelenskyy cannot be trusted to catch Russian enemies only in open spaces to utilize this munition the way it is being described. And they both have been using cluster devices over the last year already. So Biden is just speeding up the slaughter for both sides providing the Ukraine with more tools from their depleting ammunition.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/07/07/europe/cluster-munitions-us-ukraine-aid-explainer-intl-hnk-ml/index.html#:~:text=Have%20cluster%20bombs%20been%20used,cluster%20munitions%20on%20the%20battlefield.

All the use of the cluster bombs is going to do is create death years down the road as according to the International Committee of the Red Cross the unexploded munitions can then be detonated by civilian activity years or even decades later as 10% to 40% dud out and can still be detonated. It’s a scorched earth munition.

That is a fake meme, she didn’t say that.

The use of cluster bombs against civilians is what she agreed to as a possible war crime, which is true.

“The use of cluster bombs itself does not violate international law, but using them against civilians can be a violation. As in any strike, determining a war crime requires looking at whether the target was legitimate and if precautions were taken to avoid civilian casualties.

“The part of international law where this starts playing [a role], though, is indiscriminate attacks targeting civilians,” Human Rights Watch’s associate arms director Mark Hiznay told The Associated Press news agency. “So that’s not necessarily related to the weapons, but the way the weapons are used.”

The Russians should take the difficult but brave decision to supply BoJo with a polonium enema.

ANY use of cluster munitions is an indiscriminate attack targeting civilians - because after the hostilities cease, the unexploded bomblets are there to kill the innocent.

This is a war crime, and genocide against Russian speakers in Luhansk, Kherson, the Donbas and Zaporozhye.

IOW you’re assuming that a cluster bomb would generally kill only soldiers and civilians are completely immune? You’re weird.

Look at the war and the entrenched Russian Army, Ukraine’s artillery is to attack them on the battlefield.

You know the Russians have been using very low-quality cluster bombs since they first invaded, right?
