I thought many months ago and I still think now that DeSantis was always running for VP. How is the presidential primary winner (presumably Trump this time) going to take the VP candidate seriously if that person is not in it to win it? I remember well the campaign between Reagan and Bush Sr. and it wasn’t all a bag of candy and the speculation in the MSM at the time wasn’t Bush Sr. because the press at the time thought the primary was too rough. Bush went on to win the presidency the next term.

Of course DeSantis doesn’t agree with Trump on every ‘specific’ issue but does in the bigger picture. Also DeSantis (speculating) that he didn’t expect many of the big donors, RINOs, Trump-haters, and the many uniparty hacks to join him either, we are seeing the results now.

DeSantis is right where he wants to be. Clue #1, he has done nothing to run that scum off.
