Its only been hot in Atlanta for two weeks. 🙄
Seems reasonable to say that this is a year round disorder....and always has been. The difference is...we’re all different. I live on 4 hrs of sleep year round..but have a nap about 2 for about 1/2-1 hour. done that since i was a kid. And my 3 younguns...we all took naps with mom.. I’m 79...and still have the same routine.
Anyone believe the CDC??
I can see how this could be true.
As we get older our radiator begins to fail. In our youth we have a network of micro blood vessels and arteries near the surface that help to cool us. As we get older not only does our skin lose elasticity, the network of the blood radiator breaks down. Hot feels hotter and cold colder when we get old.
My late Dad became to hate summer and could not tolerate the Oklahoma heat, I am at the same point. Yesterday I was determined to defeat the self-imposed hibernation and spent the day in the shop. I was exhausted at the end of the day and I won’t go out needlessly today until late this evening.
I absolutely hate summer but this is not a new thing. You can usually put on enough clothes to be warm comfortable but you can’t ever take enough off. What a revolting thought for and old person.
That's what all these damn studies are about.
I remeber an old study: "Why do more accidents happen at this intersection"....That led to "speed lights"...which they took awaay in our area....because all the accidents were either working for the city or were the "poor" locals...I'll let you guess the demographics.
True but even at age 70 you will tolerate hot cold weather better when you are in good health. Along with a strong circulation and a strong heart. You can beat the heat in Oklahoma if you have a swimming pool and use it 3-4 times per day. My HOA type of community has a swimming pool that I use lots in the summer.

Same here.
“Hot town summer in the city
back of my neck gettin’ dirty and gritty
Been down isn’t it a pity
Doesn’t seem to be a shadow in the city’’.
I think they make up names for this or that condition and then try to market drugs to sell for it.
