He was offered a NatWest account: “Nigel Farage, the former Brexit party leader, said on Tuesday that British private bank Coutts had told him it was closing his accounts and had offered him a standard one with its parent group NatWest (NWG.L) instead.”
well, he had an account with Coutts - which is a hyper-elite bank like JP Morgan Private bank.
you need to have 1 million GBP with them (or 3 million in savings).
His amount fell below that.
So he was offered an account with the parent bank - NatWest.

Speaking in front of a swimming pool, the anti-EU campaigner said: 'Yes the bank that closed me up was Coutts. Now they say they've offered me a NatWest account. 'That wasn't until late on Thursday night after I'd blown the story out there, which said that then seven other banks had refused me. 'That is now nine other banks that have refused me. 'They're telling the press I don't meet their wealth threshold - well, they've never mentioned that before in the previous ten years. 'Worst of the story is, they denied to me on the phone on Friday that I was a PEP - a politically exposed person. 'That's the reason nobody else will have me and Coutts are, frankly, being very, very dishonest indeed.' Speaking later to BBC Radio 4's World At One, Mr Farage insisted that his financial situation 'hasn't changed' and Coutts are 'absolutely not telling the truth'.
