India Pakistan seems to be doing okay lately. I know they are not buddies, but the border seems stable.

The problem with the “two state” solution, in both cases, is it leaves one state purged of non-Muslims, while the other state retains a large minority of Muslims.
For it to work, then ALL Muslims would need to be expelled to the Muslim state, with NO importation of Muslim workers. And that won’t happen.

The author of the article is 100% right. The carve-out of Pakistan has done nothing positive for the world or for the people who live in what are now India and Pakistan.
You could make a very sound case that if Pakistan had never been created, several wars could have been avoided, including our involvement in both Afghanistan and Iraq over the last two decades. Thousands of people who died in Pakistan, India in their wars and thousands who died in the US in the 9/11 attacks would most likely be alive today. North Korea and Iran would not have nuclear weapons, since Pakistan was their source for nuclear secrets. I'm sure I'm missing some other things.
