“...fathers to pay child support on time?”

You got it!! Oh, they still have to pay it...legally. Just without the liability of all the back interest of the state spending taxpayer money to service the lack of previously not paying it. And if the father doesn’t wish to pay anything in the future, then at some point the state will write off the interest again because they feel it is uncollectable. So I guess the next question is that the state should stay out of it and not try to get their piece of the action as isn’t it a lost cause?

In California, consistent failure to pay child support can result in a felony charge. This is when the parent who should be paying support owes more than $2,500 in back payments. But if they already have that amount in debt as that is not a lot of money and they are being forgiven for the state part, does anyone have the idea that the police are going to start an investigation to find the guy even for a felony? This is where opposites become the same: fat chance/slim chance

As they continue the moral corruption, payoffs, division of the people and tainted allegiances to their positions and work.
