He’s been subtly blacklisted for decades for some sin or another against wokeness/political correctness.
He’s probably looking to start landing profitable roles again. The mortgages on his mansion(s) is not going to pay itself.

I’ve hear that theory as to why so many rich/famous people are Leftists - they THINK they’ll be safe if they can say: “but I’ve always supported your cause”.
