If you think AI is programmed to do what it does, you don't understand AI.

The power of AI lies in the fact that it learns (so to speak).

For example, the banking industry is already worried that AI will be racist by not being lenient toward certain favored minorities when considering creditworthiness. AI only looks at the data behind creditworthiness. It doesn't give a damn what bankers and programmers want. And it doesn't give a damn about the color of your skin.
