Hello Dolly!
I don’t know if this was in reference to my problem:
“A quick note on eye exams etc. I surely am aware of financial concerns and padding the bill. This is in all specialities. But with the eyes, after 60 I believe one should make sure you get a Really good work up from MD / optomologist every couple years. There are many conditions that caught early can be helped.”
I have no need for the flimsy test this optometrist uses his new money making equipment for. I am fully tested twice a year by my retina specialist, an actual doctor.
I’m so sorry you are having so many medical problems. Many prayers for you. I also pray for your dear son.
Totally agree - they push the envelope too often for unnecessary things. Or if they know the person has great insurance or better yet deep pockets. My BF in Ohio prime example. Retired pilot. Financially very strong. Prime top flight insurance. Every test imaginable. Normal hospital stay 2 days He n his mom 4 or 5. Very expensive scripts with copay of 5–10$K /month …. Can we say kickback? Sure illegal but 2 weeks in Tahiti? New car for wife?
Most patients believe all docs are honest. Some of us are educated and question or (horrors) reject their agenda.
My point on eyes. They’re important n just need to be competently cared for
