thanks. I was losing about 6 inches of land a year. So, I planted a couple of silver maple cuttings(twigs), in that open space you see, and damned if they didn’t grow full out. now I have the property more secluded and I slowed the erosion.
Of course, it now gives critters more cover and that’s ok.
The city took down 4 silver maples, they were at the end of their shelf life. We lost the shade on the front and side yards, and the grass went to hell in a handbasket.
The city only recently replaced a couple of trees a couple of years ago. We’ll never live to see the full effect of those plantings, but that’s ok. Nice ranch (no stairs) for our retirement.
