I have no scientific or medical knowledge to back up my theory, but I think when they switched from cane sugar to high-fructose corn syrup, obesity, diabetes and other health problems greatly increased.

I'm with you here. My mother use to make our syrup for pancakes and such with sugar and water. It was delicious. I was making it for a while and then we switched to honey because of my sons eating. Then I tried making the syrup for my husband and me for french toast one day. It just wouldn't melt and when I tried to save some as mother did..it went straight to hard sugar. Couldn't figure out why. Then I noticed the sugar label didn't say pure cane sugar. So they are getting us every which way.

Husband brought in BBQ chips and I happened to notice the ingredients..said..engineered...

I bet if we looked into it, the studies, your theory may indeed be a fact.
