Trump Organization lawyer Marc Mukasey says there was never any written contract struck and Cohen’s claims about any oral agreement with the company are false and too “vague” to honor anyway.
It makes sense to settle (even though they shouldn't) just because the Trumps do no need another trial going on, with everything else going on with them.
Contracts for over a certain amount of money (depending on the state) are required to be in writing.
I'm guessing they would have won.
