I had Crohn’s disease twenty years ago, which required surgery. Fear tried to creep in, because my mother (who lived to be 94 years old) had had two surgeries and an altered because of it.
I was led to declare. “I am not my mother.” Fear left and here I am Crohn’s free all these years.

Blessed news. I tend to do the same thing. I have some of my mothers traits. A drug by Eli Lilly saved by life close to 15 years ago. I had hairline fractures all over. Once wore 7 1/2 shoes..now 10 or even 11 sometimes. I was 5'7" now barely 5'4". My feet are completely flat now. Sandals are out.
My mom had lou gehrig's disease.
