Wow, great interview. The man speaks the truth. You will not regret seeing the movie, you should have seen the people milling around outside the theater after the movie. This is no ordinary shallow Hollywood movie. It is extremely well done and of high standard.

Indy 5 was released by Disney on this same 4th of July weekend. It was released in 4,600 theaters across the country, many places playing on MULTIPLE SCREENS.
Sound of Freedom was released by Angel Studios in 2,634 theaters, and almost NEVER playing on multiple screens at any of those theaters.
YET SOUND OF FREEDOM MADE OVER $2 1/2 MILLION DOLLARS MORE THAN INDY 5 over the weekend, $14.2 mil to $11.6 mil
And here’s the thing: Indy 5 is a massive big studio summer tentpole movie. They spent HUNDREDS OF MILLIONS making and advertising it.
Sound of Freedom was shot on a very modest budget, probably under $20 million.
After years of delays [the film was finished over 5 years ago and - ironically - shelved by Disney who refused to release it - it finally hits theaters and beats Disney’s big summer film.
A true David and Goliath story is unfolding!
