I have a Greek New Testament which has a map of Palestine in New Testament times. It shows Bethsaida as on the Sea of Galilee a little east of Capernaum (on the Golan Heights side). I have a Bazak Guide to Israel 1987-88 with a map which appears to have something like Bet Zayda on that same stretch of the coast.

The section on Capernaum (Kfar Nahum) mentions the ruins of a 2nd or 3rd century synagogue and says that the Franciscans in 1894 bought the property and rebuilt a monastery next to the synagogue. "The church is on the site of a 4th century structure marking St. Peter's house. (Nearby is a Greek Orthodox Church.)"
