The surroundings of the Titanic are well mapped. They even found shoes from the Titanic, so the area is flat and looks like a bare sand beach. Anything new will be noticed. This is new. Also, yes, they will be able to identify lots of pieces. I don’t think the Coast Guard would release this information if they weren’t confident, they’d found the sub.

Was this submersible a single room vessel? I mean, no chance of separate watertight compartments where passengers might have taken refuge and still be safe yet? I know, grasping at straws....

Thank you for the information about the debris field around the Titanic which could be recognized as being “new” to that already identified.
Don’t think that info is very well known.
