According to 4th/5th grade math, when there are no brackets/parentheses, the order of calculation is multiplication first. So, 2 x 4 = 8. 2 + 8 = 10. It was a long time ago.
Yes. Haven't run across that in forever. I'm no math whiz but I don't have trouble with things I do in real life.
