I too read your post, and you made a good point, but when I hear or read of birds being hurt by anything, I sort of “go postal”.

I'd be willing to bet that more birds die from flying into mirrored office buildings than solar power systems.

Rooftop solar is a better idea than the big fields of solar panels, but the subsidies are still a big turn off. Wind won’t work around here unless someone can come up with a way to harness our light and variable summer breezes.
