This is very much memory-rich, Foldy. I was born midst WWII, spent the first three years of my life in an orphanage. Maybe that motivated me to keep pushing ahead {for better or worse. π€·ββοΈ}
1943 was the year when they made pennies of steel/zinc instead of copper; the few coppers minted by chance became valuable. I had one but my mother lost it; it turned up in the news here in Orlando a few years later; oh well. I have had a very full life and many rewards (+ disappointments.) No complaints - thank you Lord! β€π
Happy Birthday and glad to see you’re almost a member of my “class.” My classmates and I were born in the year after Pearl Harbor. All our growing -up years the big people called us “war babies,” which is where my ID comes from.
Happy Birthday, Bob Ireland!
Have a fantastic 80th birthday!
