This is simply Lawfare. The DOJ set Nauta up on a phony, manufactured process crime to be in a position to ruin him financially and emotionally with a vicious and ruinous legal action. that could put him in prison for the rest of his life, given his age. The goal is coerce him into a plea agreement where he is coerced into providing false testimony against Donald Trump to convict Trump. Smith is a pro at these types of manufactured political hit jobs
Smith's behavior is akin to the trans "influencer" who bared "her" chest at the White House.
Weaponize government and the Woke freaks are, like bad children, going to push the limits of authority until they get slapped-down hard.
Nauta is the pawn, the one the crooked prosecutor figured he could squeeze to use against Trump, but Nauta is loyal to the core and will be alright in the end. My view is that Smith is headed for a train wreck. He’s a guy who fashions himself too cute by half until someone comes along and kicks him in the ass. It’s happened before with this rogue Rambo, but dufuses never wise up.
These frauds have no shame and should be driven from the public arena by the public themselves.

The difference is Ideology and Tyranny. We are ruled by a Tyranny using an Ideology as the blueprint for taking and maintaining total control. There is no operating Constitution and there are no laws. There are only decrees and rules which can be altered to fit the immediate needs of the rulers. The Rules are not for the ordering of society for prosperity and peace; they are tools for control and suppression of dissidence and opposition.
One or two to get things started. The problem will resolve itself in short order.

There is a blatant double standard protecting the criminal activities of Democrats and their allies.
The Administrative State has it’s priorities.
It’s all about the “roll over”. FBI has been addicted to that for years, get the little guy, get them to roll over and give evidence against the person above them, lather rinse repeat, until hopefully they get the top dog. But if the little guy doesn’t roll over, they indict them as a warning to some other little guy.
Inveterate liars know no shame. Their consciences are seared by the multiplicity of deceit, fraud, and criminal gain they have spent their lives engaged in perpetrating. Yet, they control the levers of law by virtue of massive corruption. Only the pure are condemned by this cabal since purity is a shining light on the dark evil of their corruption.
