***Like selling our scrap metal to the Japanese during the 1930s.
(Not popular on this board but there is a degree of truth to the marxist line about a capitalist selling the rope to hang him.)
I really liked Buchanan (I was the liaison for his campaign in my local Young Republican Club. He and I were not popular.) Everything he ever said or wrote has come true. He was miles ahead of everyone.
Yes. He called everything spot on. And they went after him the same way they did Trump. Except Trump had billions and he didn’t. The party apparatus at that time called the shots. They tried some very nasty stuff on us back then didn’t they? As a liaison you know what they did. A lot of people with good intentions but very controllled by a few rich and powerful elite, and I’m just talking on the local and state level. I don’t forget getting backstabbed by the Keyes people (and others) at the Convention. We were just learning about the deep state back then. Now we see it even clearer. The party elite choose the candidate. Not us. Or so they thought. Until Trump came along and could out fundraise the bastards and even when outspent, and attacked, still win.
Your small print reflects the conditions of the hour. It’s ironic isn’t it, where facts can or can not be seen. As you said, even Marxists nailed a sliver of it, on that subject, and in that case.
I remember being horrified to hear that capitalism can be abused by power. He ticked off a reasonable example or two, but honestly I was so stumped by the opening premise, I forget now what they were.
Events of the hour are forcing our observations on uncomfortable things. Buchanan truly was a genius who rose up ahead of the times. Or was he? Seed planting the truth is always on time. I thought Buchanan hung the moon.
