If someone throws a temper tantrum over a mere request to take a subject to festival, then their posse joins in with pitchforks and torches demanding we acquiesce to them with nonsense posts of NO CENSORSHIP, then there is no working with them.

The request was made to take the subject to festival for a reason, and that reason is that the source has the history of lying and/or misrepresenting things. Misleading people is not what we should be doing.
I think some folks might have misread the request as an order. As you said, it is not censorship, but it is an attempt to keep mis-information and such out of the Q thread. The response to the request could have been a well-reasoned attempt to show why the source was worthy of at least a glance, but instead, there was some sniping commentary that has carried forward since. That is merely stirring the pot. Pot don't need no stirring.
Some people's moms told me some things during our private moments. Or something like that. LOL - I'm no bagster. I can't do the mom thing all that well.
