Paul continues to squeeze every last molecule of juice out of The Beatles 53 years after they broke up. It’s really kind of pathetic.
Paul was always the crowd-pleaser. People want Beatles' stuff. He's 80, with more money than he will ever spend. Nonetheless he STILL makes albums of non-Beatles material, and through the years dabbled in Country ("Sally G"), Opera ("Liverpool Oratorio"), and his active in many charities, both non-controversial and a bot out there.
I have never an advocate of cannibis use, but if anyone wants to argue with me about it inhibiting ambition and activity, Paul McCartney would be a great example, as he has been a pretty serious pot head for decades.

Back in the original days of the SNL, Lorne Michaels would come out in front of the audience and offer to pay the Beatles $1,000 to re-unite on the show.
The story goes that one night, Paul was visiting John at Dakotas and we’re watching SNL and seriously thought of driving to the studio to make an impromptu appearance. But they chose not to.
That would have been awesome to see.
