It becomes relevant when people like you need to compare times/era of Vietnam to having a choice of to or not to join. I have cousins that went to Viet Nam.. and I remember the lord McCain and JFKerry leftist that played political football.. I find it sinister of heart to play politics with military service..

Apparently you do not mind. Gird yourself, because if your military hero is the nominee, the loyal opposition are going to paint him as a water-boarder bar none.. they already have some of his captives telling their tales..
